Independent, integrated and qualified tree safety test
The significant requirement for effectively testing the safety of trees is choosing the right test procedure for a given situation. While there are many different measuring procedures for tree examination, until today none of them can be deemed all-purpose, however.
By establishing the Independent Tree Expert Group, Bodo Siegert, expert for tree examination and tree statics and head of the research group on examination equipment of the Fachverband Geprüfter Baumpfleger e.V. [German incorporated professional association of certified tree surgeons] addresses the discussion on the best examination procedure for the purpose of tree safety tests. The reason for this is that extensive practice tests of the research group on examination equipment have shown that only an open approach not reduced to certain methods and interlocking much information of a visual and technical nature allow for a comprehensive assessment of trees.
