User mentoring and know-how transfer
The knowledge transfer in theory and practice is a key element of the Independent Tree Expert Group.
Beneath the mentor guidance for participants of the ITEG tree safety test expert trainings, ITEG offers additional practical assignments at tree examinations in order to provide insights in concrete analysis situations.
In addition to know-how transfer, ITEG focuses on continuous improvements of analysis methods employed. As all Independent Tree Expert Group members regularly enter examination results in the ITEG data base, the metadata generated are discussed as expert contributions in the forum of the Independent Tree Expert Group to improve the methods used.
In order to keep the ITEG experts’ high level of qualification, annual meetings about “Integrated Tree Statics” provide state-of-the-art information on tree security examination.
In the ITEG forum, participants can both clarify particular questions on tree statics and track the latest technology developments in a condensed way. Moreover, the forum offers a platform for a direct, intensive exchange of experience amongst experts on a national and international scale. The forum allows for sustainable case discussions – as equipment manufacturers are integrated in the forum, they can provide problem solutions if required.
ITEG members are directly involved in technological advancements in tree statics through the evaluation of common analysis data and the direct connection with manufacturers of examination equipment via the ITEG forum.
